Jimmy’s Hero
You served 10 years in the army,
Me and Jimmy were so proud,
And he would always say to me,
He wants to fight just like his dad.
You were little Jimmys hero,
And still are to this day,
But about a week ago,
You sadly passed away.

“Mummy wheres my dad”
I said you’re with the angels,
and he said “Where is that”
He asked me can we visit,
and I said “Only in our dreams”
He softly smiled and closed his eyes,
and drifted off to sleep.
The next day when he woke,
He came running to my room,
With a smile spread across his face,
and I knew where he had been.
He climbed in beside me
Kissed me on the cheek,
Said “Mummy, Daddy Loves you”
He told me in my dreams.
